Bryson DeChambeau Plays From Fan Balcony at LIV Golf Adelaide

Golf star Bryson DeChambeau had to get creative – really creative – during Friday’s LIV Golf event in Adelaide. The former US Open champ ended up on someone’s balcony, but not for the reason you might think.

It all started when he hit his tee shot into the bushes on the par-5 13th hole. Instead of giving up, DeChambeau spotted a nearby house and had an idea.

He hopped a fence, climbed up to a stranger’s balcony, and used it to get a better view with his rangefinder.

“I had no idea what was going on,” said playing partner Abraham Ancer, who watched the scene unfold from the middle of the fairway. “Myself and DJ (Dustin Johnson) were in disbelief like where did he find that ball.”

The crazy part? DeChambeau nearly saved par after all that drama. He managed to chip out of the bushes and onto the fairway, eventually making a bogey six.

But that wasn’t even his wildest moment of the day.

Earlier in his round, DeChambeau had been putting on a show. He birdied three holes on the front nine and got the crowd fired up at the famous “Watering Hole” – the tournament’s party-atmosphere 12th hole.

Then he did something that dropped jaws: He drove the ball 415 yards onto the green at the par-4 15th hole.

Unfortunately for DeChambeau, his adventurous round caught up with him. He made bogeys at 14, 16, and 17, before finally getting one back with a birdie at the last hole.

He finished with a 73 (+1) for the day, leaving him at three-under for the tournament – six shots behind the leaders.

Speaking of leaders, there’s a three-way tie at the top between Ancer, Carlos Ortiz, and Sam Horsfield, all sitting pretty at nine-under. They’re three shots clear of Joaquin Niemann.

In the team competition, Horsfield’s Majesticks GC squad has a one-shot edge as they try to grab their first-ever team victory on the LIV Golf circuit.
